ClubGolf is a fantastic project, which gets straight to the heart of Scottish golf, creating opportunities and access to the game for young people. Explore, get involved and become a part of this 2014 Ryder Cup legacy project.
ClubGolf was born out of the Scottish Government’s pledge to introduce every child in Scotland to golf by age nine. Since its launch in 2003, ClubGolf has enjoyed phenomenal success with over 260,000 children introduced to golf at school. Over 15 percent of those children move on to receive further coaching at one of 303 ClubGolf clubs and facilities across Scotland.
ClubGolf provides a fun filled introduction to the game, helping young budding golfers to develop in a safe, encouraging environment and setting them up with the skills needed to enjoy golf for life. Thanks to support from key partners (SGU, SLGA, PGA, sportscotland, Golf Foundation), and with initiatives such as the £20 off junior membership voucher, youngsters are encouraged toenjoy coaching, earn a handicap and join a club. All of which aims to help secure the future health of Scottish golf clubs.
Not only is ClubGolf supported by over 1,600 amazing volunteer coaches and 123 PGA Pros, the project is proud to have backing from some of greatest names in golf including Colin Montgomerie, Catriona Matthew, Stephen Gallagher, Sam Torrance, Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus to name a few.
